word 2002 merge

Hi everyone,

Have just upgraded to microsoft office 2002XP and now my merge expert doesn't work. Paradox does nothing I can see. Task manager show that Paradox is not responding.

Help.......anyone

No idea, unless there is some permission issue with the new install of Word2002 and XP. Have you tried loggin in as Admin and running it?

Have tried that to no avail, have just put the clock back to Word 2000 which WAS ok but now doesn't work, I just get the message in task manager that Paradox is not responding!

Any more thoughts anyone?

The only other thing you might try is to run it in compatible mode, say Win98 or even 2000. Past that I can only assume that Papa Gates has seized more than usual control of your box.

I am actually running Win98 as OS All I tried to do was upgrade my office package. I guess I shall have to try re-installing Paradox or set up the mail merge with either wordperfect or using a paradox report.

Just had this problem start up again but cannot remember how I resolved it previously. Guess I should have written it down. But in fact the merge expert doesn't work at all!

Can anyone help urgently as I have my end of month letters to get out next week.
