I have created a table in a word doc and all the text in the cells are being highlighted yellow. I've tried removing the highlighting (or setting it to None) but this does not work. I can change the color but not remove it.

I've also tried looking at Borders and Shading for the table but this does not help either.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Have you tried setting it to auto?

Hi hickeyc,

When you say Borders and Shading doesn't help, what have you tried?

If Shading is set on the Text, it would explain the symptoms you describe. Trying to set "No Fill" on the Table would not remove it.

Under Borders and Shading, make sure shading is set to “No Fill” for Text (and Paragraph) as well as Table (under “Apply To”).

Enjoy,
Tony

Thanks Tony, I was setting the shading for the table not the text. Once I went into the text I was able to turn the shading to white.
