Word 2000 maximizes off center

I just had the distinct pleasure of upgrading to Office 2000. Now, occasionally when I start Word or maximize it, it maximizes off center, cutting off the right scroll bar or sometimes more. In its maximized state, I can't get it back to the center of the screen. Sometimes closing and reopening Word makes the problem go away for awhile, but it's annoying.

I think the problem has something to do with Outlook 2000. Any ideas?
