Is there any way to use the Mail Merge function to import pictures into the merged fields? What I am trying to do is make Price tags, and I want the image of the item on the price tag just above the price and the description. I ma not quite sure how I would do this if it is even possible (i.e how to arrange the pictures in database format, where & how to store the files, etc). Any thoughts????

Contact the Microsoft Access forum in Tek-tips.com. Merge function works very well with Word & Access. Access also has picture fields. You will have to experiment. Your idea does sound interesting.

I would keep pic files fairly small - around a few KB's just to keep things efficient.

This may not be what you are looking for, but you may try this route instead.

In mail merge, choose to create label. If your price tags are a different size than the options, then you can customize. Proceed as you would any other mail merge by putting in all your information, etc.

Then when you have all the mail merge fields in, just copy and paste your picture into the cells.

If you have Publisher, it is a little easier to manage the graphics.

Also, if one picture goes with one kind of description, price, etc. and another picture goes with another kind. You can use a query and have a separate mail merge document with its own link for each individual product.

Hope this helps. I do this all the time with all sorts of graphics and it works great.
