It seems there must be a way to over ride Word 2000's default choice to change the line spacing for the entire paragraph if I select only certain lines within that paragraph and want my changes in line spacing to apply only to those selected lines. However, it does seem to always format the entire paragraph when I do it that way. Is there a way around this?
Thanks.

Kristy:

Line spacing is a paragraph format, so it applies to the entire paragraph.

What you need is character spacing. Try Format-Font, Character spacing tab. Use the position box.

If you can tell me just what you're trying to accomplish, perhaps I can help further. Brainbench MVP for Microsoft Word
