I have ONE user that is having trouble with the Envelope and Labels feature in Word 2000.
The user does not see the grayed guidelines in any view.
I can border the "cell", which draws the outlines, but must turn the border off or it prints.
I have looked high and low for a difference in configuration between this user and others, but have come up with nothing.
I went to a Word 97 users desk and was able to shut off the grayed guidelines by messing with headers, but can't duplicate in 2000.
Help me please. If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.

By the way, I have gone through the Hide/Unhide Guidelines, and Unhide Guidelines seems to be the default. Is there a way to keep Show Guidelines as the default? If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.

Obviously, the normal.dot file is not being saved. Have the user close any open documents to have gray screen in Word. Then, file-Open-Templates and pick the normal.dot template. Put a table in it. Show gridlines. Delete the table. Save the file. Close it. Hit new doc button. Can she see the gridlines now? If so, okay. If she can't after a reboot, she doesn't have rights to the registry.
