Word 2000 Error and Crash

I have been using my version of MSOffice 2000 for many months without many major problems, I now have a word error which reads [Project]_RemoveFaxOption.Init ERROR 2147417848 Method "reset" of object 'CommandBar Popup' failed

I have deinstalled and installed msoffice and loaded the service packs but word still crashes out, any tips please

I know zip about Word other than deleting the normal.dot file fixes lots of problems that can occur - Can't hurt to try it if you've already re-installed.
