word 2000 collaboration documents change

I haven't really worked with office in workgroup mode before. I've been asked why on certain computers when they open up the document it moves the information around. I'm looking at settings but can't seem to see any difference.

Is it possible that the systems that move the document text around have "older" versions of the document and those that do not move the document text already have a version dated the same as the one you are trying to load?

well the documents are accessed from the server. Changes are made to them from one computer and accessed on another. At the computer where it will be reviewed the text gets moved around. It's the same document....
