Word 200 Macro Security?!

Whenever I edit an existing Word 2000 doc and "File-Save As" I get the following error message: "Macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your macro security settings." When I click "OK" to get rid of that message and go back to "File-Save as", everything proceeds normally.
My question, you may have guessed, is why am I getting that error message when I have not been proactive about creating or using any macros, ever - and what can I do about it?!

TIA

Sounds like a macro virus or, at very least, a misplaced file.
Close Word. Hit Start-Find-Files or folders.
Type "normal.dot" (without the quotes) into the Named area.
Make sure you're looking on your entire hard drive.
Delete or rename the file called normal.dot (normal.old?).
Restart Word. If the problem remains, look for a folder called ...office/startup in the same folder where you have other Microsoft Office stuff. Make sure there's no files in there. Move them to another folder and restart Word to check if that resolves it. If not, let us know.
