Help! I have a co-worker who is trying to place tif files in a document. All of her art is saved as *.tiff and PageMaker won't automatically recognize the file since tif is spelled tiff on the file extension. Is there a way to fix this (without renaming all of her files)? Strange thing is that she said they used to work.

Your query begs the question of which application is producing the images with the extension TIFF?

AFAIK, PM has never accepted *.TIFF, but always *.TIF.

When placing *.TIFF into PM, PM will ask the user to identify the format. Otherwise the files need to be renamed.

These are files off of an old clipart disk.

This may be helpful:

Copy all *.tiff files to a hard disk (not read only media)
go to Start -> Run -> and type CMD
go to the folder of the .tiff files
and try this command: rename *.tiff *.tif

This will change all files extensions.
