Goldmine used to import data from the email our web site sends it. Since our new site launched, it's not doing this. Can anyone suggest what could be happening?

The email reaches the inbox properly, and displays all the contact info. But then it just sits there--it doesn't get imported into new records. I'm new to Goldmine and don't know how/where to search for an import script or something that is supposed to take the info from the email and place it into new records. What should I be looking for?

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, GoldMine can still do this...

The HTML form on your web site requires the fields to match those of GoldMine. When the form is submitted a CGI script creates the email to be retrieved into GoldMine, there by creating a new record.

The CGI scripts creates an email with a custom header so that GoldMine recognises it as a Web Import file. The body of the email is also in a special format that contains the data and instructions for how GoldMine will create the new record.

What happens when you download the email from the Online folder?

Do a search for Web Import and CGI in the Help file - for a change it is actually useful!

Hope this helps
