Hi guys,
anyone got any advice on a machine that wont boot into windows? Just gets as far as giving me option of SAFE MODE, LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION etc...pick ANY of these and it just reboots in a loop back to same point.

Machine is built from an image (XP pro)..Otherwise i would have run a repair. Anybody got any tips on what could be causing this? I can boot it up using a boot disk to access (PE builder) to access any corrupt files if necessary.

What it sounds like, since it was made by an image, is that the image was created via another machine with different hardware.

Sounds like you need to repair the XP installation.

Hi, even if your installation comes from an image, you can boot from a XP pro CD and proceed with the repair.

Hope this helps. Please let know if this resolve your issue

If you are going to try to build from images you need to do a sysprep before you make the image. Now if you do a repair install with same service pack as the image you should be ok.
