I'm trying to reload my system with the xp cd, but it won't boot from it. I went in to setup and made the cd drive first in the boot list, but it still won't boot from it. Any ideas? Thanks

With some motherboards booting to a cd, you will be prompted to 'press spacebar to boot from cd' or some such thing. Could you have missed this?

Do you have a boot floppy? If not, just make one in XP. Boot to the floppy with CD Rom support, then run 'setup' from the cd.

Pirated copies of XP usually aren't bootable. Atleast a few people I know, their copies don't.
