I am running FoxPro 2.0 on a DOS machine off a Novell network. It has worked fine for years but has just begun locking up the computer when I add new data. Can you max out? Is it a memory issue? I tried to free up more conventional memory but it didn't seem to help or was still not enough.

There are limits on the size of a dbf (2gig) and the number of records and the number of fields. However, My experience is that when a application locks up adding records, a cdx is damaged. Try grabbing the dbf exclusive and (Make a backup first)

then see if you can pack it or reindex it. If it locks up in the pack or reindex you will have to delete the cdx file and recreate it. [sig]
David W. Grewe
Dave@internationalbid.com
ICQ VFP ActiveList #46145644[/sig]
