I have a remote Win 2K (SP3) Pro PC I need to be to wake and shutdown/power down remotley. The PC is ocassionaly used interactively, but mostly remotely. So far, I have been able to get the WOL function to work, but the shutdown/power down is another story. Several of the remote shutdown utilities I have tried (including the one that comes with the Win 2K Pro Resource Kit) only take the shutdown procedure to a screen with "It is now safe to turn off your computer." This makes it impossible to perform any subsequent WOL's unless the PC has been stopped interactively. Don't know if this is a bios, OS, or shutdown utility issue. Anyone else having better luck with this procedure?

Motherboard = Giga-byte GA-6VX7B-4X with latest bios update.
NIC = Linksys LNE100TX v4.1

Thanks!
