WMI - access denied on LIKE search

Any idea why I get Access denied when using:

TargetInstance.Message LIKE '%anymessage%'"

but it works when I use:

TargetInstance.Message = 'anymessage'"

I am trying to access 'Win32_NTLogEvent'.
