I have a WMF that I want to include as a header for my quickreports, but any time I load the image into the tQRImage component, it will distort. I doesn't matter how I set the autosize, stretch and center properties.

I tried with a standard tImage component and sized it to the exact size of my image and the image still distorts.

The exact layout of my image is
727/117 (length/width)
left hand side is a vector image (the company logo)
right hand side: company name
- split into 4 blocks of text to have all caps but increase the font size of certain characters

When I import the image into MS Word it will display fine but when I open it in delphi the text will end up distorting or overlaping

Any ideas?

Hmm
I just tried displaying a wmf in a standard TImage and it didnt distort at all?.

I tried to make a wmf but have only one graphic program that can save in that format and You cannot specify the image size!
I created a 727*127 image in another program and imported it then saved it back as a wmf, the result was an image much larger than the original when displayed in Delphi but I think this was due to the conversion processs.
However Stretch did work and I was able to resize it to an un-distorted 727* 117

Do you have this problem with other types of image if not try converting your picture to a bitmap (might be a bit big) a Jpeg or (if you have a converter component) a gif.

Steve.

The problem was the text was overlapping because wmf doesn't save enough info. When I tried using an extended metafile it works fine.

Thanks for your reply though.
