2 Compaq Proliant ML370 servers both running Windows NT 4
WLBS installed on both - WLBS Virtual NIC adapters
Primary IP is the load-share
Dedicated IP is set to the physical network adapter's IP
on each server.
Port Rules: (same on both servers)
Port Range: 1 to 65535
Protocols: Both
Filtering mode: Multiple Hosts
Affinity: None
Load Percentage: equal
Attempting to use load-balancing to split ASP calls sent
from client PC's to the servers so that half are processed
via IIS version 4.0 on one server and half processed by
IIS version 4.0 on the other server.
However although the calls do appear to be split 50-50
between both servers; whichever server was rebooted last
processes the calls correctly. The other server doesn't
process the ASP calls and nothing is logged in the Iislogs
Example:
Server 1 rebooted (server 2 not)
ASP calls split 50-50 but not processed on Server 2
Server 2 rebooted (server 1 left as is)
ASP calls split 50-50 but not processed on server 1
.
