Im looking at setting up 1 or 2 of these wireless IP headsets.

Do I need to use a "WLAN IP Telephony Manager 2245", or will the phone work on any wireless network as long as they can "see" my BCM? (3.6 all patches, with IP licenses)

Im thinking of using a unuses Linksys AccessPoint that is on my network (802.11g) I believe the headsets are only 802.11b

You need to have the 2245 at this point in time. Supposedly the need for that might go away in future releases, but it's needed for release 3.6 or 3.7.

crappy. Sounds like a lot of money to spend for a glorified cordless phone.

Is there an IP version of an ATA? If so then I could use a $50 analog cordless phone attached to the "IP" ATA and point it to the BCM.

Im trying to setup the equivalent of a cordless phone at a remote office that is currently running only i2002 phones over a VPN link to our BCM at HQ.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

There are H.323 "ATAs" out there, but I haven't ever tried one on a BCM. If I'm not mistaken, those use an IP trunk license instead of an IP client license. Maybe someone else can chime in on their experiences with them.
