Hi,

Is anyone familiair with an option which disables the WLAN NIC automatically as soon as people connected to the LAN. We want to use the LAN connection primary, therefore disabling the WLAN NIC once connected to the LAN. Whenever the LAN connection disconnect, the WLAN NIC should become available again.
In the past I read this is possible but i cannot find the option in our W(LAN) options.

Thanks in advance.

Check with your laptop vendor. IBM/Lenovo has Access connections which will do this with supported nics. Additionally, you can set the order windows accesses nic's in Network Connections > Advanced settings.

hi,

I checked within the intel release but in our release it is not available. i will try to update to the last release. Also i'm aware of the binding settings windows uses but it is not important which it should choose first but to disable a connection if there is already another connection active. Regardless to the binding setting it still uses resources and generates unnecesary network traffic within the WLAN infrastructure.
