What do I need to setup a T1 on my server. I have 2 NIC's and am wondering what the second NIC needs to have in it for its address so that we can have internet access. we have a cisco router 2611 and can ping out from the router, but can not ping out from the server or access any web sites. Please advise, we are first time T1 users.

Is your client pointing to a DNS server on the internet (so it can resolve internet names) ?
If you are using an internal DNS : is it using a forwarder to a ISP DNS server ?

Can you ping to an IP address on the internet ?

Do a tracert 62.112.0.7 and post the output in this forum Peter Van Eeckhoutte

rkerns12 post your question in the cisco routers forum.

Your server needs to be on the same network and subnet as your internal router interface. The cisco has to have a route defined to your T-1 serial interface. The internal interface on your router should be defined as your server's default gateway.
