witness (how to retrieve from previous?)

Dear all,
we have installed a witness system on a temporary pc and used it successfully but when the new server arrived we installed the witness contact store on it and transfered the license.
our problem now is that how can we retrieve the calls on the previous server provided that we dont want to use the prevoius pc anymore.

does copying the files from the /calls folder into a dvd work (how)?
does copying the files from the /calls folder into the new server work (how)?
