Is it still true that WITH HOLD option on the DECLARE CURSOR statement
applicable only to batch processing?

Thanx,

Hi LMT,

As far as I know it was always avail to CICS on a mainframe. In fact it was "invented" for CICS use, to hold the current rec ptr for the cursor across syncpoints (explicit or implied), especially after SEND MAPs during browse loops.

Anyway, it can be used in CICS now. I used it yesterday.

Regards, Jack.
