Planning future install and was wondering if this would work. Customer has an operator that answers incoming calls with 5 additional people answering as backup. They copper lines now and will be upgrading to PRI. Was wondering if I could point incoming calls to a calling group. Program operator and backup extensions as members of group. Could I make a loop around extension to a co trunk port and make the calling group overflow to voicemail. Thanks in advance!

Just got back from site this setup worked as I had thought. My ? is when I point the incoming DNIS number to my calling group will I get caller ID info

When you do cut over to PRI service the only CID info you will receive is the number with the date stamp. The Legend/Magix does NOT support names. Also if you continue to use the loop around feature, NO CID is passed on this arrangement. Legend/Magix analogue stations never had that feature.

For further info you might read the Feature Reference document which provides mucho info and interactions between features of the system. Like all Avaya documents they are free for the download from support.avaya.com in addition to searching on this forum for PRI info.

Hope this helps!
