We have a package we created thast we wish a power user to install. Upon running the message 'You must have administrative privs. to install wise for windows installer'* appears. Is it not possible to install msi built with wise with less than ful;l admin? I can't beleive this is the case. Any ideas most gratefully received.

Thanks

* or words to that effect. I dont have the actuasl mshg in front of me right now.

Using GPO, make the change in the users registry to set install elevated to enabled. Find the setting under:

<GPO Policy Name>
-Computer Configuration
-Administrative Templates
-Windows Components
-Windows Installer
\Always install with elevated priviledges

You may also need to set it in the User Configuration part as well (I'm not sure, we only use the Computer Config section as we use GPO to push software to clients).

Regards,

Guav
