I have a client on a Partner ACS phone system. The issue that is occuring is, when someone is on one extension and another person picks up another extension, they can hear each other. The building was already wired when Partner ACS was installed. Is it possible that if this building is daisy-chained in any way could make these extensions be able to hear one another? I have already moved extensions on 66 block and problem still occurs. Please help, i've been dealing with this for a week now and need some suggestions on resolving this matter.

Depending on the ammount of crosstalk this could be in the acs or just be bad wiring. Is the problem between two extensions only or can it occur between any extensions.

Try 2 phones plugged directly into the ACS Processor to rule in/out the wiring

do you have extesnsion privacy set ?

Thank you franklin97355 I appreciate your input on this matter as well, your suggestion was really helpful. Thanks, 2dicoth5!!

We had the same experience at a customers site. The customers electricians has to re-install some of the local line cabeling as water had gone in to these cables. Herafter there was no problems.
Please also check that your PBX is connected to a proper grounding and that the cables to the telephones not are rolled up (wound up) - this will make the cables function like antennas, and then you can be lucky to hear FM/AM radio in the background, while using the telephone.

Best regards doktor

(My suggestions below would apply if you cannot pin down the crosstalk to specific extensions). [wink]

Just as a precaution, another suggestion would be to try plugging 2 single line telephones into the Bell demarcs just to make sure that the crosstalk isn't being created before the Partner ACS.

I've seen, in some instances, where high loop current can cause crosstalk between telephone lines.

Crossed wires at the Bell demarc could also cause crosstalk.
