I recently had a chance to use the linux built in Wireshark on SE to trouble shoot call quality problem and had an issue that the wireshark trace/ session times out after 10 or 15 minutes unless I press any key to refresh it. I can't seem to find how to change that timeout option in Linux. Does anyone know and could shed some light on it for me.

The command I am using is tcpdump -i eth0 -s 0 -n -nn -w /home/Administrator/file.pcap. I am guessing but, think maybe the -n and or -nn needs to be change to a values say for size of file and or number of files but not sure.

I didn't realise that Avaya included tcpdump in the SE installation (they actively remote other useful diagnostic commands, including removing the Centos repositories without providing any of there own) so this is a pleasant surprise.

I cant give Avaya a * for this but I have given one to NYSTech for making me aware of it
