Greetings all,
I've got a fun one for you. I've got linksys wireless g access point router. I've also got 3 computer running in a seperate computer lab. These computers are all older machines that have usb ports, but not enough room to have both PS/2 devices and a usb wireless adapter. In addition, one PC is a Red Hat box (which I'm too lazy to configure a wireless adapter on), so I'd really like an ethernet cable going to it. My question is...Can I have a wireless receiver accept the signal from my wireless router, and trasfer it to a 4-port hub - so I can branch off 3 ethernet cables to my 3 computers? If so, what devices would you recommend? Information on the devices in the network are listed below.
Computer #1:
Windows XP Pro
Pentium 3 900Mhz
256 MB Ram
40 GB HD
2 PS/2 Ports
2 USB Ports (Neither can be used because of the PS/2 ports)
Computer #2:
Windows 2000 Pro
Pentium I 333 Mhz
256 MB Ram
40 GB HD
Same PS/2-USB Configuration
Computer #3:
Red Hat 8.0
Pentium 2 666 Mhz
256 MB Ram
40 GB HD
Same PS/2-USB Configuration
Comptuer #4:
Windows XP Home
Pentium 3 2.7Ghz
512 MB Ram
120 GB HD
Hardwired to Wireless Router
Computer #5: (Laptop)
Windows 2000 Pro
Pentium 1 333 Mhz
128 MB Ram
12 GB HD
Connects using a Netgear USB Wireless Adapter
Router:
Linksys Wirless G 4 Port Access Point Router
Let me know if you need more information.
Thanks in advance,
