I have IPO500
is it possible to use Wireless Phone for another provider ?
means not AVAYA.

If they are analogue sets, as long as they are PABX compatible you can use whatever you like :)

Or do you mean Wi-Fi IP wireless sets?

I mean WIFI-IP, what is the Acces point and Phone to use ?

is it necessary tu use AVAYA Phones ?

You can buy third party IP endpoint licences so it will be possible, the system doesn't know it's a wireless device it simply sees it as an IP device trying to register, so as long as the handset you buy says it is compatable with Avaya IP Office you will be ok, bear in mind wirelss routers that also do QoS are often not cheap, as for recommendations I don't know of any personally :)

I am using an Avaya 3631 with a linksys WAP54G access point
with no problems. No need for AVPP.

retired25,

Interested in knowing how you made a phone work without an AVPP. I found you must put in a valid AVPP IP in the phone config for "AVPP IP".
