Im having a problem with a program that runs on my wireless network. Im currently testing the netowrk. The network consists of two pcs running windows 200. One pc is connected to an access point via a crossover cat 5 cable. The pcs settings are ip address 192.168.0.1, the access point is 192.168.0.100. The PC that contains the wireless USB network card has its ip address set at 192.168.0.101. I can access files on the wirless PC from the wired one. My problem arises when i run software that is designed to communicate over the network through the IPX/SPX protocol. This protocol is installed on both network connections. the sofware recognises the connection initially but drops it when it tries to send files across the protocol. The wireless access point is 2.4 ghz 802.11g (belkin), the USB card is 802.11g 54mbps (3com). Any ideas what my problem is?

I have yet to see a wireless router that supports IPX/SPX. (or Appletalk or other older protocols). TCP/IP only.
