Hello,

We have one Windows Small Biz Server 2003. We have about 5 people that require wireless connectivity. Currently we have no wireless system in place.

I am looking for suggestions.

Which Access Point should we purchase? Should we use the RADIUS server built into windows? I'm guessing we should use WPA-PSK or WPA-TKIP? Is WPA2 Available yet?

I'm not sure how to set this up yet either. I found this article and it looks like a lot of work.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,
Kurt

Thanks for the info but I don't need a router, only an access point. Also I believe the netgear is for business and has many more features which I might need but I'm not sure yet.

Thanks,
Kurt

WPA2 is out and available and works great. We use it with 802.1x authentication and have been very happy. We are using HP 420 Wireless Access Points.

Hi Dan,

Do users authenticate with windows RADIUS or active directory? I'm not sure how that works or how to set it up.

Thanks,
Kurt

We are usins Radius to authenticate to our Active Directory.

We already have a domain setup using active directory. Does anyone have any info on setting up radius and getting an access point to work with it?

Thanks,
Kurt

dput,

Are you using MS IAS for your radius server?
What encryptions and options are you using?

I want to get something like this setup, however I cannot find the right type of combination to get this to work

Could you provide any assistance.

I am using LinkSys WRT54G router with Linksys WMP54G cards.
For Radius I am using MS IAS 2003. Is RRAS required? Also . is DHCP required?
