OK, have just taken the plunge and bought a Buffalo 125 Air Station and a Buffalo 125 Cardbus. Set up in minutes and went like a dream. Only problem now is that I have no idea about whether I am open to the world in some way in terms of security. Does anyone have any links to good learning material for WEP / WPA / Wireless Encryption etc.

I can search for a network and connect to it no problem as long as I choose the 'No encryption' option, but those very words also sort of worry me a tad :).

Would just like to get a feel for how secure or not I really am or can be.

Cheers

Hmmm - Think I just answered my own question here courtesy of wybnormal. His site has the following link:-

Down near the bottom of that page is a section entitled

'Wireless Security'

and has numerous links to exactly what I was looking for. Guess I should have looked harder to start with :-(

Anyway thanks wyb, much appreciated :)

Regards
