Ok, long long story cut as short as i can make it..

The setup:
D-Link 3100 Gateway connected to DSL
D-Link DI774 Wireless Router (Rev A, Firmware v1.25)
D-Link DWL-2100AP Access Point (Firmware v.2.00) - To be used as a Wireless Repeater.

The scenario:

We have the 3100 & the DI774 setup to provide wireless internet access to the general public in one of our buildings. We want to extend the range of the signal to include another part of the building.

The Problem:

The DWL2100AP will not recognize the fact that it setup to be a repeater. Despite going through the configs with D-Link Tech support (and them saying it should work, and no, the AP is not faulty). We are repeating the MAC address of the DI774, there is no encryption on the system, both units are set to the exactly the same SSID and channel, both units are even in the same IP range on the LAN side of things.
Even after all this, the 2100AP will not even pick up a wireless signal. When we do a site survey, however, from within the 2100, it picks up our DI774 MAC address, IP & SSID.

ANY help or suggestions greatly appreciated...we're at the end of our ropes!!

Thanks in advance!

Paul
