Question:

We have a client that has a boat (read yacht), and this boat has a wired lan. They want to buy something that will
enable them to connect to a wireless access point and therefore connect to the web from their lan when they come into different ports. What would be the most viable solution for them?

Thanks!

A wireless bridge of some sort. I used a DLink DWL 810+ successfully like this. But I don't think that's sold any more (it was/is old). But similar products exist and can be pretty cheap. In addition, some routers nowadays can act as bridges. Consult your manual.
