Wireless print error message

Why do I get an error message, "....error writing to USB001....due to unknown system error."? Laptop is a Panasonic connected to Linksys 4-port hub. Printer is a HP PSC 1200 connected to Compaq Presario. The systems are obviously communicating, but I'm overlooking something.What's the solution?
