I need to place an analog line in a building about 100' from our main office for a public emergency phone. We dont want to dig up concrete pathways to get there if we can keep from it. Does anyone know of a wireless phone jack system that might work? I have tried the Radio Shack system but it doesnt work because of different electrical services in the two buildings. An internet search found other devices that appear to work the same as the Radio Shack system. Is there something else out there?
Thank you.

Is this something you cannot do with a cordless handset? What is the application?

We plan on installing a vandal resistant analog phone that will be available for emergency use in a public area 24hrs a day. A regular cordless phone would work fine but as you can see, would not last.
Thanks.

if its a emergency phone it seems like there would be liablity issues in the event of a power failure with either cordless or the wireless jack

have you looked into cellular ?

i beleive thats what they use for the side of the road call box's

have you talked to any cable contractors ? I have customers amazed at the soultions we come up with in getting cable from a to b that they never thought possible

Cellular is out for now. You are right, having a cable installed is probably what will happen. We are a state agency so there is no cheap solution. We have a cable contractor on state contract, but I'm afraid to find out what it will cost.
Thanks for the ideas.
