I have laptops that will be connecting (using a NIC) to an internal LAN server (the server will not be connecting to the Internet). The laptops also have a wireless NIC that they use to connect to the internet.

Problem is that when I have both adapters enabled I can get to the LAN just fine but I can't access the Internet from the wireless.

Setup is as follows:

Server-IP address 172.16.0.1 (Windows 2003, not running DHCP)

Laptop-
Wireless NIC-dynamically obtains IP address
Ethernet NIC-IP address 172.16.0.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway 172.16.0.1
Preferred DNS Server 172.16.0.1

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. Haved tried the Windows network bridge without success.

Five things to say about this one. First, look at your routing table. Where is your default route? Second, your DNS server is on your internal network. You will need to add DNS settings for external DNS (unless you are doing a zone transfer - not advised). Third, do you have adequate protection to keep outsides outside? Fourth, why do you want your network set up this way? Fifth, you can set the priority of your network connection in the Advanced Settings.
