Wireless Newbee

I have a wireless network at home. I have a PC and a laptop connected to the router.

I can not see either computer from the other on the network why is this.

What is the best way to set this up so i can share files of the PC to use on the laptop.

Please tell use the Version of Windows, including Service Pack levels, on each machine.
