I have had a strange thing happen to my wirelessly connected laptop. I had a trial version of Windows .NET on my Server and because the license expired, I re-installed a copy of Windows 2000 Server and re-built my domain. When I attempted to remove and then re-connect my laptop to the domain I was able to make the connection without a problem, but for some reason or other, when I log on with my normal user account onto the laptop, it logs on using a default profile which will not let me run my apps, etc. If I chose to go back to a System Restore point and restore the laptop to a point prior to the re-connection, my apps will run fine, but I am unable to set up a networked printer. Any suggestions?

In AD remove the machine name, and the user.

Re-add.

On the client, Start, Run, control userpasswords2

remove all cached credentials.

Reboot.
