I am trying to find out what the best solution is for wireless internet connection for a laptop. Is there one that is faster than another (Sprint wireless card vs. Verizon wireless card), which one is more reliable or is there another means? Currently my CFO uses a Verizon TREO with Bluetooth to connect to the internet, but it disconnects alot. I suggested Verizon Wireless card, but know he isn't sure he wants it because it may not be the fastest thing going. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Conrad

Reliability of connection and speed can really vary based upon where you are using it. My personal cell phone is with Verizon and I am very happy with them, but they won't work at all in my workplace. I use a sprint card in my laptop when I want mobile connections. I do think that a wireless card will be more reliable than a Treo/Bluetooth option.

Thanks.

With the Sprint card, does your connection rate vary or is it relatively constant? How fast of a rate do you get?

Thanks

It can vary greatly based upon signal quality. Around SE Michigan, I can get 400 kbs to 600 kbs. In more rural areas, I drop down to 120 kbs.
