Problem on the wireless IP Phones. I can't seem to place the drop function. So when a call is transferred to a mobile number, I want to cancel the transfer when I reach the voicemail. Is there a work around without using the drop function

I put the drop in the tab digital telephony, but it doesn't appear on the phones ??

you could try Hold, then *52
this should disconnect the call to the VM

This only diconnect the call from only one provider.
I still can't believe someone forgot an important feature like the "drop

Just for your information. when you place the avaya 3626 in the mode IP Office disabled...Everything works fine :-D

After a long time, the customer is happy

So you want to drop both the caller & the Mobile VM?

This seems to be a bit harsh on the caller who thinks he is being transfered & then gets disconnected.

You could try to conf the 2 calls & then hang up (if both are external) this will drop both calls.

other wise drop the mobile call as above & press recall/hold to return to the origanal caller.

IPGuru, Problem is: someone dials in, you take the call and want to transfer it. When for example the other party says he can't take that call right now, you are unable to "drop" dat call. From the moment you hang up on this call, the transfer is made. Normally you have the drop function for this. You drop the line, and go back to line 1 where your original caller is waiting.

*52 works when I dial to a voicemail system of 1 provider, but when I dial into the voicemail system of an other telecomprovider, * 52 is not working, it's just not recognized

stevea2z:

which cordless phone are you trying? I've been fighting with an Avaya 3810 on IPOffice. Of the 4 programmable buttons on the phone, only two of them seem able to take programming. Avaya tech has seen the same thing when they looked into the issue.

Of the four buttons that are supposed to be programmable, only the 2 on the far right respond to programming in the IP Office Manager. These are the 2 buttons we should logically expect to be buttons 3&4, but they respond to programming as buttons 1&2. Go figure.

Anyone else seen this?

*52 is an IP offcie code to clear the call (drop)
place the 2nd call on hold & then dial *52
this should drop the 2nd call & return you to the 1st

IPGuru: When I place the 2nd call on hold I have to take a third line to press *52. then I have 2 callers on hold. 1 customer + 1 mobile voicemail. It's just not possible to just press hold and then the feature code. It just won't be accepted.

DJTelco: this is with the avaya 3626 wireless IP phones. Sounds like a real hidden feature you got there. Always a challenge isn't :)

the IPO is capable of having many more than 2 calls on hold at an extn. unless the 3626 uses apperance keys like the DS range of handsets, then you may need to add another

I have not seen a 3626 handset but my instructions do work perfectly on Pot phones so should be generic accross the range.

I just don't want to put a voicemailbox of a cellphone on hold. Doesn't seem to be the right way. Strange to put some holdmusic to a persons mailbox, no ?

*52 works - I just did a test by 1 3616 calling another 3616 and transferring the call to another extension. Pick that call up (same as going through to VM), putting the call on hold and keying in *52 - that drops the call and I got the original call back, no problem at all.

Seems that will be your only way I'm afraid - for the moment!
