I've been trying to find a decent wireless IP phone option for a customer with an IPO 500. Everything that I've been able to find is extremely expensive or overly complicated to install. Has anyone found a good option? Thanks.

It all depends on the use of the phone.
Is it a simple phone where you only walk around with around the base station or do you need coverage in the whole building?

Dect is good but for one phone very expensive.
Wifi also needs an AVPP which makes is also very expensive for just one phone.

I always would go for dect because it is way must better then wifi and a standalone simple kitchen dect solution.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

They just need coverage in the immediate area of the base station. The set will be in a separate facility from the IPO and already has 3 IP sets(5610) operating through a VPN tunnel.

Use a gigaset C475 (sip)
The IPO needs to be on 5.0 or higher and you also need a 3th party ip endpoint license.

You can register the Gigaset C475 as a sip extension to the IPO.
Then the wireless phone registers to the base station.
