Im getting a message saying "No 802.11a sub bands enabled" when I fire up a wireless IP phone 6140. I get this only after it connects to the TFTP server to downlaod the latest firmaware. I have to manually go in and configure the phone with a sub band for it to initialize. I am using firmware version 115.017.

It's a Nortel CS1000M on release 5.0 with two sig servers and two MC32 cards. Everything has been patched and the MC32 have the latest firmware. As far as the IP wireless network is concerned. We have a 2245 Telephony Manager. I also have a 2246 application gateway which is not in use. The access points are from Trapeze.

I am having the same issues. Did you ever find a solution?

I have not, I no longer work for the company and I’m not sure if they ever found the solution.

I am using 115.019. Call server is 5.5. I am not having any issues with 6140 phones. If I am not mistaken we were not on 115.017 at all. We were having a bad watchdog time out problem and 115.019 fixed that issue. We installed it about 2 months before it came out.

Thanks. We're on 115.019 but there's nowhere to configure the sub-bands.
