Hi All,

I have had major problems ever since I purchased the Linksys WAG54G wireless router, The main reason I purchased this router was to let my boy connect to the internet via his PC in his room with a wireless PCI card which works.

My PC is downstairs and is connected to the router direct.

Another major reason for purchasing the router is so we could both play online on our Xboxes in different rooms, This doesn't work for some unknow reason? he is connecting to the router via the Lynksys game adapter.

I am now trying to setup Serv-U with the router and I can't get this to work neither?

Is there anyone out there that has a solution in fixing all these problems I am really starting to go grey please help!!!

I am not very experienced in networking and any help would be nice

Thanks

Are you having problems getting the xbox connecting only or are you also having problems connecting to the internet?
As for xbox, I had a WRT54G wireless router, and bought a microsoft xbox wireless adapter. With those two I never had any problems.

The problem is two X-Box Live adapters.
. You need two accounts
. disable uPnP on the router

Hi All,

Thanks for replying.....I don't actually connect to Xbox live, I use something called XBConnect which is the same as Live but does not cost etc....I have 2 xbox's and would like to get them both running on XBC at the time...I have my boys xbox upstairs and he connects to the router with a wireless game adapter which is the linksys one....I connect to the router direct with a crossover cable...Could it be something to do with the port forwarding? What is uPnP?

Thanks for all the help

Access the router web-based setup page.
Enable UPnP on the router.

Now enable UPnP on both clients:

Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components, Networking Services, and checkmark the Internet Gateway Discovery client, and the UPnP service client and hit OK. Let the windows components install.
