Just wondering if anyone knows of a wireless headset option for the 5330e IP phone that supports remote answer?

We are looking at equipping our agents with wireless headsets instead of their wired ones.

I have looked at the Mitel ones, but these are relatively hard to pair compared to the Sennheiser and Plantronics ones and are quite expensive.

Looking around I cannot seem to find any EHS (electronic Hook Switch) cables or adapters for the Mitel phones other than a Mechanical lifter (Which we have 2 of, one Sennheiser, one Plantronics) which to be honest are a bit clunky.

Any answers gratefully received.

I can't speak to the cost of the Mitel headsets, but I don't know how pressing 2 buttons makes them hard to pair, and they do support remote answer.

Hi Lundah, I know what your saying, but when our agents (non-technical) tested them, they liked the fact that both Plantronics and Sennheiser paired by just docking.

I can see where they are coming from, they run a hot-desking call center 24/7, so there is a lot of pairing going to be going on.

Mitel 53xx handsets do not support EHS as far as I'm aware.
Mitel's headset or lifters is going to be the only option I believe.

agreed external headset base connected to handset hole with a lifter is only alternative

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Have you considered interference?

The Mitel headsets are designed for high density without interference

Typical (less expensive) headsets do not consider quantity and can interfere with each other when you have a high quantity in close proximity.
