Just putting it to the forum regarding the best way forward on increasing interest and demand.

I know there are many flavours provided which I guess 'Plantronics' being probably the most preferred but interested on what models and options even looking at BlueTooth technology. This is primarily for High traffic 3905 and 3904 users and if needed to be used with IP model Phones

Cheers Guys !!

A large number of users have gone back to their "wired" Plantronics headsets, due to the static from "wireless" bluetooth and 5 Ghz headsets. Seems that because of new state and local laws of 'holding' cellphone handsets while driving, (don't drive distracted!)everyone has a bluetooth that walks into the building. These devices ALL try to connect with ANY signal in range and screw up calls in progress. One site had 65 wireless headsets, and now has 4 because of it. Their good for small offices, but for large offices, consider what you currently have in place.

agree with doc, as usual. you do not gain enough with wireless to make it worth while.

new for the sake of new makes everyone happy, until it breaks.

cisco voip is a great example. two way vidio, space cadet phones tend to make a high price paper weight when the network guys love to boot servers, switches, routers at will. might be worth the extra dollar if you want something as dependable as cell phones.. when your bottom line or in my case lives can depend on the next call.. the bleeding edge can stap in the box.

Hi John & Doc, again many thanks for your thoughts and input particularly signal & coverage

Cheers!!

We began deploying wireless headsets in our office back in 2005 and to our remote staff last year and we've been pretty pleased. We use Plantronics (started with CS 50s, now use CS55s, CS70s, and Savi Office models). I tested GN Netcom and Plantronics at length before we purchased, and the Plantronics was far superior. We probably have around 125 units in our company of various Plantronics models. The biggest issue we run into in our office is radio frequency interference, which will make you pull out your hair. We have areas in our building where 20 reps have minimial problems in close proximity to each other, and four reps on the other side of the building all have issues with it because of the electrical in their area. I would say they've been rather successful for us, but I don't know that I would try bluetooth on a widespread basis. Are they as good as wired headsets? Probably not, but darn close and the people that have them are much happier than when they had wired headsets.

Hi CTarv, your input will also be useful not only for me but all members wondering about interconnecting wireless headset solutions and the way to go

Thanks my friend !!
