We have rolled out the G.722 codec between Cisco IP phones and the call quality is great. When using a wired headset, we still get the same quality which is getting good feedback.
Our problem is with the wired headsets. Since G.722 uses a wider audio range (150 Hz to 7 kHz), the wirless headsets aren't passing the full range. This isn't a noticiable difference on G.711 since it samples a smaller range (300 Hz to 3.4 kHz).
Has anyone been able to find a wireless headset that is compitble with the whole range? We've contacted plantronics and gn netcom and haven't been able to find one.
