I have Dial Up with Win98 on my desktop along with Network Everywhere Model # NC100U-WM Ethernet card & a Laptop with XP & D-Link Model # DWL-G650 Cardbus Adapter installed & a Linksys Wireless-B Model # BEFW11S4 Broadband Router. I ran the Wizard on the Network Neighborhood & installed all of the set ups on the new equipment. I have an Ethernet cable running from my E-card to the Internet hookup on the Router & my phone line hooked up to my modem. When I Enable the Ethernet card, in the CP-System-Device Manager, I can’t get my Outlook Express to receive or IE to open a page so my Net connection is not getting thru to the my card, when I disable it everything works. The DNS Configurations are all the same but the IP Address for E-card is marked Specify an Address, & has Numbers visible, instead of Obtain Automatically. While Disabled the Internet signal is acknowledged in my Router set up but not when E-card is Enabled.
