i have the new knoppix and im trying to configure my wireless network. I have a thinkpad t41 and i have a dw6000 that does the dhcp to a linksys wap. So i have the assigned ip for my thinkpad as 192.168.0.4 and i go into the wireless config and i tell it the settings ip, ssid and all. and i do lspci and it says it sees my integrated astheros (sp?) card. But i cant get it to hook up to the network. Im a firm beliver in RTFM but i surely cant find any good docs on how to for the wireless. Also unfortunately im a windows guy like most of the world, but cut me some break, its not my fault, im trying. Can any one point me in the right direction?

If you are using DHCP why are you specifying an IP address? I've used several cards (Red Hat/Fedora, not Knoppix) and support is a bit flaky for some. I've always used auto settings and DHCP, maybe you could give it a try?
