Hello

I am new to the site. Not sure if this is the right location for the post.

I have a 30 unit Laptop mobile wireless cart.

Two cisco Aironet 1240 access points are connected to a 2940 switch on a cart which attaches throught a crossover cable to the wall port.

The issue I am having is when all 30 laptops are logging in simutaneoulsly it takes a very long time to log in. Around 10 minutes. I have set it where 15 laptops access one access point and the other 15 access the other access point.
Port uplink is set to trunk between switch (2940) and Main distrubtion closet.

:)

Do you mean log in to the network via wireless or authenticate/get signal to the AP?
WHos' the maker of the wireless client on the laptops?

Network authentication and all the icons comming down and log in scripts running.

Dell d630 Laptops....
I just updated to the latest wireless drivers....

selected only "authoorized access point signals" under advanced options.... for the wireless....

Check to make sure your speed/duplex settings are correct between the AP's and your 2940 switch .

What's your ISP speed connecting to the remote site where the PC's are trying to authenticate and download all their profiles at once?
I bet you are in a hotel conference room or something along those lines, bottlenecking the heck out of their connection (probably a slow DSL for 200 rooms and conferences).

The Max on the 2940 is 100...... on the 8 ports...

I'll hardset the access points to 100 and see... right now I believe it is set to auto.....

thanks

:)
